The Muur van Geraardsbergen is the kind of climb that turns a ride into a memory. It is short, steep, cobbled and wrapped in classics history. The chapel at the top gives the climb a visual finish that few roads can match.

This route idea can be built in two ways. Start in Geraardsbergen for a compact ride focused on the Muur itself, or start in Oudenaarde and make it part of a longer Flanders day. The first version is cleaner. The second version feels more like a full classics route.
