Introduction
Cyclingtrippers ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it.
Information We Collect
We collect information you submit through newsletter, contact, climb experience, rating, coffee nomination and contest forms. Depending on the form this can include your name, email address, message, nomination, vote and the cycling subject involved.
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics processes pseudonymous usage data such as visited pages, approximate location, device information and interactions with trip-planning features. We never send names, email addresses or free-text form contents to analytics.
Saved destinations, routes and climbs are currently stored locally in your browser and are not linked to an account.
How We Use Your Information
We use submitted information to provide the requested newsletter, answer messages, operate contests, prevent duplicate or abusive votes, moderate community contributions and improve our cycling guides. Where a form explicitly offers publication, we ask permission before publishing personally attributable text.
We use service providers including Supabase for data storage, Resend for transactional email, Vercel for hosting and, with consent, Google for analytics. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for details on the cookies used on this site.
Data Retention
Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Contact and community submissions are kept only as long as needed for handling, moderation, fraud prevention and editorial administration. Aggregated ratings may remain after identifiers are removed.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to how it is used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us.
