Coll d’Ordino gives the Andorra stage a different rhythm from Port d’Envalira. It is shorter, more contained and easier to build into a ride, but still a real climb. From Canillo, the road rises for 8.9 kilometres at just over five percent.
For riders visiting Andorra, Coll d’Ordino is a useful climb because it can work as part of a bigger mountain loop or as a more manageable standalone ride. It gives you the Andorran climbing feel without demanding the same long commitment as Envalira.
How to ride it
Start from Canillo and keep the first part controlled.
Use the climb as part of an Andorra loop if your legs are good.
Pair it carefully with bigger climbs, because Andorra elevation adds up quickly.
Where to stay
Canillo is the most direct base for this side. Andorra la Vella works if you want more services and do not mind extra riding to reach the climb.
Practical tips
This is a good second climb on an Andorra ride, but not a free add on.
Watch weather and descending conditions, especially outside summer.
Build your GPX around safe connectors rather than simply chasing the shortest route.
